Kids want to catch a fish and you don’t know where to go? Try the causeway at Ausable Point State Park. A worm, a hook, a line, and your youngster is almost guaranteed a perch as well as a great time outdoors with you. Like smaller streams? The Salmon River, which flows through Macomb State Park, and the Little Ausable, both south of Plattsburgh, are great small streams with plenty of brook trout. Muskies? Try the Great Chazy River, north near Champlain.
